Job Details

  • Position: Summer Camp Manager

  • Dates: From 01/04/2026 to 31/08/2026

  • Contract Type: Temporary:

    • April-June: part-time

    • June-August: full-time, including weekends.

  • Location: Barcelona and surrounding areas

Responsibilities Before Summer Camp (April–June)

  • Recruitment and Compliance: Lead the hiring and onboarding of all summer staff, ensuring compliance with safeguarding, health, and safety standards.

  • Staff Training: Design and deliver comprehensive training programs, tailoring content to specific team roles and operational responsibilities.

  • Operational Support: Partner with the Center Director to coordinate activity bookings, transportation logistics, and key elements of summer planning.

  • Communication: Act as the primary liaison for summer staff, providing clear guidance on roles, expectations, and timelines to ensure readiness ahead of program launch.

Responsibilities During Summer Camp (June–August)

  • Leadership: Assume full responsibility for the day-to-day management of the Summer Camp, leading cross-departmental teams of managers and coordinators.

  • Student Welfare: Maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment that prioritizes student well-being, satisfaction, and overall experience.

  • Team Management: Facilitate daily briefings, weekly planning meetings, and individual feedback sessions to promote accountability, collaboration, and motivation.

  • Operations: Oversee all logistical functions - including arrivals, departures, scheduling, and program delivery - to meet quality and performance standards.

  • Accreditation and Administration: Ensure all documentation and reporting requirements are completed accurately and in compliance with Expanish accreditation standards.

  • Crisis Management: Respond to operational or student-related issues promptly and professionally, maintaining sound judgment under pressure.

Responsibilities After Summer Camp (End August)

  • Evaluation and Reporting: Collect and analyze final evaluations, prepare summary reports, and identify actionable insights to support continuous program improvement.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience related to similar positions

  • Minimum 2 years of residency in Barcelona, with strong local knowledge of the city and its services., with strong local knowledge of the city and its services.

  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing or leading teams

  • Commitment to the highest level of customer service

  • Outgoing and fun attitude with the ability to motivate and energize others

  • Financial and business awareness

  • Fluency in Spanish and English with excellent communication skills

  • Ability to work independently

  • Ability to work and thrive under pressure

  • Legal authorization to work in Spain at the start of employment
