The University Relations Regional Director supports and strengthens Expanish’s partnerships with U.S. colleges and universities engaged in study abroad. This role focuses on developing and maintaining collaborative institutional relationships, supporting new and emerging partners, and contributing to the growth of Expanish’s study abroad portfolio across Spain and Latin America.
Working closely with the Director of U.S. Partnerships and the broader Study Abroad team, the Regional Director engages study abroad offices, academic departments, and faculty to explore program opportunities that align with institutional goals, academic priorities, and student needs.
This role is well suited for a study abroad professional who is entrepreneurial, can work independently, values relationship-building and collaboration within a Spain & LATAM-focused team..

Salary Range: $60,000–$69,000 USD

Build and maintain strong relationships with U.S. colleges and universities engaged in or exploring study abroad programming.
Engage study abroad offices, academic departments, and faculty to introduce Expanish and explore opportunities for collaboration.
Support prospective and early-stage university partners as they consider new or expanded study abroad programs.
Collaborate with internal academic, admissions, marketing, and operations teams to ensure proposed programs align with institutional expectations and operational capacity.
Support institutional requests for information and proposals related to study abroad programming.
Represent Expanish at professional conferences, events, and meetings as needed (e.g., NAFSA, The Forum on Education Abroad, regional conferences).
Maintain accurate records of institutional engagement and outreach activities.
Serve as a knowledgeable ambassador for Expanish’s mission, values, and destination expertise.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., international education, higher education administration, international relations, communications, social sciences), or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in study abroad, international education, university partnerships, or related roles involving collaboration with U.S. colleges or universities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills appropriate for engagement with faculty and university administrators.
Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to manage multiple relationships and priorities.
Ability to work collaboratively across teams and exercise sound professional judgment.
Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
Experience working directly with U.S. study abroad offices or academic departments.
Familiarity with a range of study abroad program models (faculty-led, summer, semester, internships, undergraduate research).
Experience participating in international education conferences or professional events.
Experience using CRM or partnership-tracking systems.
Spanish language proficiency (helpful but not required).
